Diagnostic accuracy matters.
Sometimes a test result is less critical than others. Sometimes a result could lead to a patient’s survival. Proper diagnosis and treatment rely on accurate test results. And accurate test results rely on every step of the specimen management process working.
Diagnostic accuracy is the result of a lot of little things going right. The collection processes. The quality of the sample. Storage. Transport. Everything has to work together, which is why our training and education programs, combined with our PAQC (Preanalytical Quality Check), may help improve diagnostic accuracy by analyzing and making recommendations on product selection and optimal use to impact every facet of the process:
Based on the average survey responses of 225 laboratory professionals (Lab Directors, Laboratory Managers and Laboratory Technicians), BD was rated higher than Greiner Bio-One for ensuring analytical accuracy.18
CDC states that14 billion laboratory tests are conducted every year.1
