BD Vialon é um poliuretano matéria-prima desenvolvida e estudada pela BD para os cateteres da terapia infusional. O biomaterial BD Vialon™ foi clinicamente testado para permanecer mais tempo na veia, reduzindo as complicações relacionadas ao cateter.
Mecanismo de ação
Uma vez dentro da veia, o cateter BD Vialon™ se torna mais flexível, o que reduz a irritação da camada íntima (revestimento interior) da veia. Esta capacidade de amolecimento superior permite que o cateter se ajuste à forma interna da veia, o que resulta em menos pressão nas paredes dos vasos, e reduz o risco de penetração da parede do vaso.
